ABOUT

Washington Square is a three-building office campus encompassing 1.1 million square feet located in the vibrant and scenic Gateway District of Minneapolis. Designed by Minoru Yamasaki, the campus began with the construction of 20 Washington Square in 1964, and was later expanded to include 100 Washington Square and 111 Washington Square, in the 1980s. The virtually column-free, large foot floor plates and floor-to-ceiling glass make the space attractive to creative and dynamic users and offers unmatched views of the Mississippi River, Target Field, and Minneapolis’ celebrated natural beauty.

The office campus features a state-of-the-art conference center and cafe, premier health club, direct Skyway access, convenient parking, and abundant green space in close proximity to walking, running, and biking trails along the Mississippi River. Washington Square spans Washington Avenue between Hennepin Avenue and 2nd Avenue at the apex of Nicollet Mall. This convenient location has direct access to I-394, I-94, and I-35W as well as the Marq2 rapid transit corridor and the Metro Blue Line light rail.

Tranquil Spaces and Artworks

Minoru Yamasaki’s philosophy on architecture is evident at Washington Square, "The architecture of our society must be totally consistent with our way of life. It must be dignified and elegant, yet humanly scaled to man so that it belongs to him, so that he has pride in it, so that he loves it."

20 Washington Square features a stunning "Portico" and manicured green spaces with reflecting pools. Sculptures created by Japanese artist, Masayuki Nagare anchor the tranquil setting.

100 Washington Square sits on a 2.5-acre site featuring an open plaza with collaborative seating areas, fire pits, bocce ball, and a Zen garden.
